The CAA, the first in Japan, raised the problem of lack of catalysts for cars. The fact is that catalysts are expensively sold in Japan. For instance, the catalyst converter for old Prius NHW20 cost 100,000-120,000 JPY in Japan.
The auction does not consider it fair that cars without catalysts are sold along with ordinary cars. The CAA auction system decided to separate such cars into a separate group. From now on, vehicles without catalytic converters will be exhibited in the 現状 車 & 特殊 車 両 corner (emergency vehicles and special purpose vehicles).
